Bedrock Ocean Exploration designs, builds and operates its own autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for high-resolution seafloor survey. Each AUV is 2.4 m long, weighs 60 kg in air and is rated to 300 m, carrying a multibeam echosounder or sub-bottom profiler alongside side-scan sonar and a magnetometer. The full system ships light and deploys from a wide variety of vessels, and data flows into Mosaic, our cloud platform, so project teams can review it while the survey is still running.

For decommissioning teams, that means debris, pipeline and site survey data with a small vessel and logistics footprint. In 2026 our AUVs have surveyed decommissioning sites and pipelines in the UK North Sea, working with our Aberdeen partner, First Marine Solutions. Come and see one on our stand.
