With a strong background in EPC Oil Service Company project management roles, including the Engineering Team Lead role with Aker Solutions on the CNR Murchison Decommissioning Contract, Craig is vocal in his passion for innovation and knowledge sharing within the decommissioning community.
Craig headed up all development activities for Veolia Environmental Services, providing onshore disposal services to the offshore decommissioning market across 4 locations throughout the UK and Norway.
His current role with the NZTC includes the ownership of all late life and decommissioning activities across Centre’s Programmes. Supporting their vision to use UKCS knowledge, data and infrastructure to enable the transition to a net zero North Sea.
Decommissioning Technical Safety Engineer
Eilidh has over 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry both on and offshore, delivering multifaceted Technical Safety and HSE support to decommissioning, major projects and operations. Most recently, Eilidh was a key contributor to one of the largest decommissioning projects in the UK North Sea – from conception to execution and was part of the core offshore team during the highly successful removal campaigns. Eilidh’s wide involvement in all aspects of decommissioning means she has deep knowledge of how to safely and efficiently deliver decommissioning projects and ensure full compliance with the UK regulatory regime.

After graduating from Imperial College London with degrees in Petroleum Geoscience and Geology, Laura joined Maersk Oil as a Geologist in 2013. There she held a series of roles in development and exploration in both Aberdeen and Copenhagen. After a short spell working in geo-environmental consultancy, she joined the Oil and Gas Authority in 2018. She currently works within the OGA Decommissioning team with a focus on well decommissioning, delivery of commercial transformation through campaigning and wider industry engagement. She is passionate about improving access to decommissioning data and increasing visibility of the decommissioning pipeline.

Having graduated from Imperial College London in 2011, Catherine started her career with Repsol Sinopec Resources UK as a Graduate Geoscientist working in development, exploration, appraisals and operations before specialising as a Development Geologist. In 2018, with a desire of expanding her knowledge of the Oil and Gas Industry, Catherine joined the Marketing Team at Repsol Sinopec working in Terminal and Oil and Gas Supply Operations before transitioning in to the world of Technology and joining the OGA/TLB in January 2020 to complete a secondment in their Technology Team. Post secondment Catherine re-joined Repsol Sinopec moving into her current role as Technology Lead, focused on technology development and deployment in Repsol Sinopec.

Dan Kempin is the Global Business Development Manager for Mammoet – Offshore Services Ltd - a specialist department in the Load-In, Load-Out of topsides-jackets and offshore topside installations via float over methodology.
Previously, Dan worked for GE Oil & Gas and Halliburton in a managerial business development capacity. Dan successfully completed the CIM Marketing Leadership Programme – Business Growth . The focus being topical; as it concentrates on the future direction for a business to achieve growth, building the case for change, creating a change culture and implementing it.
Over a decade specialising in inspection, repair and maintenance activities within Concrete Gravity Base Structures with various Operators, involved with life extension and decommissioning activities for Brent’s B, C & D, Dunlin Alpha, Cormorant Alpha and latterly Beryl Alpha with Apache North Sea, managing teams of specialist rope access technicians in confined spaces, undertaking highly technical scopes on full-time BA. Previous engagements in construction industry with Birdair Incorporated, associated with Tensile Membrane structures for Olympic and World-Cup stadia and various shade structures across the globe including the Millennium Dome in Greenwich and Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.
Al has over 16 years’ experience working in the subsea industry, filling lead positions for the last 8. Based in Bergen, since 2011, working for DOF Subsea as Project Surveyor and Survey Lead, then for Swire Seabed as Data Management Lead. In recent years, he has been involved in research and development of unmanned survey solutions, and he holds a PhD relating to coastal and ocean data analytics. As Sulmara’s Innovation Lead, Al’s work involves sourcing and implementing new technical solutions to subsea survey and position challenges. He has led and won bids for R&D grant funding, and is currently leading a proof-of-concept (PoC) project, funded by the European Space Agency (ESA), seeking to implement an innovative uncrewed survey solution.

Edward has a degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng - Hons) from the University of Aberdeen (2005) and 15 years of insudtry experinece having worked in the UK and internationally asisgned in Azerbaijan, Thailand, Malaysia, Kuwait and the UAE, specailizing in Well Completions, Well Condtruction, Well Abandonment & Slot Reovery during a 12 year career with Baker Hughes Completion & Wellbore Intervention, 2 Years with Ardyne Technologies and most recently in his role as Global Sales & Marketing Manager for Deep Casing Tools, based in Aberdeen, UK.
As the founder of WellDecommissioned, Marc Nijmeijer puts his passion to make the worldwide decommissioning of 2 million wells and associated facilities easier and more affordable. By offering digitalisation and software. Using the WD Apollo 'one-for-all' software, users are enabled to optimise decommissioning, to increase value at the late life stage, and to tap into the energy transition. With offices in Aberdeen and The Hague the focus of WellDecommissioned is on collaboration, capability, and data-driven insight. Marc focusses on expanding the current digital collaboration with more operators, supply chain and industry institutes. Previously Marc worked for Shell in Europe and Asia in its Upstream business and at the corporate center. He holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management and an Executive Master in Finance & Control.

With a background in business, management, and finance, Paul is an entrepreneur who identified an opportunity for this ground-breaking technology and is now leading BiSN to develop multiple applications using the Wel-lok M2M core technology. Paul has led three funding rounds with some of the largest international companies in the oil & gas sector resulting in the successful establishment of both UK and US facilities. BiSN has deployed this ground breaking technology in 14 regions across the globe for over 20 operators.

Kevin is a veteran of the well intervention market with almost 30 years of experience under his belt. Having started his career in the early 90's with Schlumberger's Wireline product line, Kevin progressed to various lead operational and commercial roles both in UK and Malaysia over a 20 year period. In 2012, Kevin joined Danish based Welltec, spending 6 years heading up their UK-Continental Europe robotic intervention and completion product lines for the region. In 2018 Kevin move back to his Wireline logging roots with READ Cased hole driving their business globally, heading up their commercial activities in over 16 countries. Having recently joined the team at islo8, Kevin will again head up all commercial aspects of growing this new technology as it gains traction in the market.

I have had the opportunity to be involved in several decommissioning projects across Europe and Africa in my 15 years of oilfield experience with Schlumberger.
During these years, I have been actively involved in exploration, development, and decommissioning projects across several fields in rigs, land, and intervention vessel environments, in various roles ranging from hands-on field technical engineer, service delivery manager, and currently domain expert for tractors and powered intervention in an advisory capacity.
I continue to play an active role in the intervention space both as a committee member of ICOTA and in my current position providing technical expertise for delivering geography and regional domain NT deployment strategies.
