Port of Blyth and Thompsons of Prudhoe Ltd
Port of Blyth is the operating division of Blyth Harbour Commission, an independent statutory trust established in 1882. Today, it is one of the UK’s leading offshore energy hubs, operating across four terminals on the River Blyth, while also handling a diverse range of cargo including containers, dry bulks, and marine fuels.
Together with its international logistics and forwarding subsidiary, Transped, and award-winning training division, Port Training Services, the Port provides a fully integrated “one-stop-shop” solution for offshore energy and other port related sectors.
The Port operates a dedicated 2.3-hectare decommissioning facility at its Battleship Wharf Terminal with Thompsons of Prudhoe, delivering deconstruction, decommissioning, dismantling, demolition, asbestos removal, decontamination, and waste disposal services across the UK.
